This was the scene during the Indo-Pak war in 1965. Many people have come forward to donate funds for the Sainik Welfare Fund and PM Relief Fund during the war. Lal Bahadur Sastry was the Prime Minister of India then. The photographer clicked his camera when Savitri was giving away her jewelry for the Welfare Fund. That's the spirit of patriotism Savitri had.
