Director Shankar of 'Sivaji' fame is now working on his pet project titled 'Robo'. Superstar Rajnikanth is the hero. But Shankar had always dreamt of making a film on Rajnikanth, starting from his life as a humble bus conductor to that of a superstar.
Shankar has now made up his mind to make a film on Rajnikanth and it will be titled simply 'Rajnikanth'. The film will be based on a book 'The Name is Rajni' written by Gayathri Srikanth, a doctor by profession.
Shankar is in talks with her to buy the rights of the book to make a film. The film will be made only in 2012. Rajnikanth will become old by that time. So it would be a big challenge for Shankar to find a young man with similar features to play the role of a young Rajnikanth.
